Palais des Papes

The palace is centrally situated in Avignon and is mainly known for the popes who resided in Avignon during the Papal Schism. The palace is a vast building and welcomes 650.000 visitors per year, making it one of France's biggest tourist attractions. It also has the Unesco's World Heritage Status.
