The Principality of Waldeck and Pyrmont was situated in Northern Germany. The Princely House reigned over the principality until 1918. The House is related to the Royal House of the Netherlands. In addition, they are also related to the Royal houses of Sweden and the United Kingdom. Currently, the family resides in Schloss Arolsen.
