Schloss Hohenwerfen

Perched on a rock, surrounded by mountain tops and overlooking the town of Werfen and the Salzach river. The castle of Hohenwerfen has a history of owners, sieges an,d purposes. A military base, retreat, and prison are the best-known examples. Today, it is a museum and visitors can explore rooms and learn about its history.
