Schloss Zerbst

Schloss Zerbst used to be an important residence of the Anhalt-Zerbst dynasty; it was also the childhood home of Catherine the Great, who was a scion of the Anhalt-Zerbst dynasty. The palace was bombed in WWII and hasn't been restored so far. Today, the 'Friends of Zerbst Castle collect money; aiming at a full restoration of the castle.
