Põltsamaa linnus

The castle was originally a fortress and was commissioned by the Livonian order. Throughout history, it faced several rulers and owners. The fortress gradually transformed into a luxurious palace. It was eventually bombed during WWII. Today, you can visit the museum, join a guided tour, and attend special events. (Check the website for the castle's agenda of events.)
