King John's Castle

Cross the river Clare and you will see the imposing King John's Castle in front of you. Built on the location of a former Viking settlement, King John's Castle is one of Europe's best-preserved Norman Castles. It faced several sieges throughout history. Today, it welcomes visitors and shares its history and stories with them.
