Burgruine Aggstein

A graceful river Danube, vineyards, forests and hills of the Wachau area; it is not hard to see why Aggstein castle is one of Austria's most popular castles. The ruins date to the 12th century and have a history full of notable characters. Robber knights, feisty ladies and dukes, all of them played a role in the castle's history. 

Visitors can join the guided tours, attend fun events organized by the castle, and even join an adventure game.
