Die Riegersburg

Die Riegersburg may be one of Austria's best-known castles. It also meets the idea of an impregnable castle, perched on an extinct volcano and overlooking the town of Riegersburg and its surrounding area. 

Several families owned the castle, and a number of distinctive owners left their mark, concerning the castle, its design, and architecture. Today, you can visit a number of museums within the castle. The castle also often organizes events for visitors or you can simply enjoy a snack and/or drink, while dreaming away, overlooking the vineyards and fields of this part of Styria, Austria.
