Royal Palace of Gödöllö

Reaching this summer residence can be quite a lovely tour already. You may opt to take a train and a fairly short ride shows a few of Budapest’s outskirts and fields before entering the town of Gödöllö. 

The summer residence may have not been commissioned by the Habsburg dynasty, but was certainly a preferred residence by Empress Elisabeth. The palace refers to this but also includes other historic characters. 

Once you have explored the palace, do enjoy the garden. Explore the different areas and you will understand why the owners liked staying at the palace.
