Palais Grand-Ducal
The palace is the official residence of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg. Several rooms are also used for state events and other representative duties.
The Grand Ducal Family reigns over Luxembourg since 1890, replacing their relatives of the House of Orange-Nassau. The dynasty is related to the Royal Houses of Belgium, Sweden and the House of Bourbon-Parma. The House of Luxembourg-Nassau is the Walramian branch of the House of Nassau. The House of Orange-Nassau represents the Ottonian branch.

Fischbach Castle is a private residence of the Grand-Ducal family of Luxembourg. It is therefore not open to visitors. These days, Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg and his family live at Fischbach Castle.
The hill castle is situated near the river Lahn and the municipality of Laurenburg. The counts of Laurenburg would call themselves counts of Nassau at a later stage. Hence, the dynasties of Nassau-Weilburg and Orange-Nassau are descendants from this family. The castle is privately owned.
