The House of Hohenzollern originates from the Swabia region. The dynasty split up into Protestant and Catholic branches. Throughout history, the dynasty continued to expand its territory, eventually becoming the Imperial House of Germany.  The House of Hollenzollern is related to other dynasties in Europe, such as the Imperial House of Russia, the Royal House of the United Kingdom and the Royal House of the Netherlands.

Berliner Schloss

Situated in the heart of Berlin, this used to be the main seat of the Hohenzollern dynasty. Once demolished in the 20th century, now it has been partially restored, containing elements that refer to its history. A variety of museums and services are planned to be accommodated in the palace.
